Welcome to Capital Aikikai of Wisconsin

Capital Aikikai of Wisconsin is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching and promoting the art of Aikido in Janesville, Wisconsin. As part of the Capital Aikido Federation, we welcome individuals from all walks of life who are interested in personal growth through this peaceful martial art.

Our training emphasizes de-escalation and nonviolent conflict resolution. Under the guidance of Lares sensei, we offer a supportive and inclusive environment where students can build confidence, improve physical ability, and develop a mindset grounded in harmony and compassion—on and off the mat.

Aikido is more than a form of self-defense. It’s a path toward greater awareness, empathy, and resilience. Whether you’re brand new to martial arts or returning after time away, we invite you to step onto the mat and become part of our community
